(n.) the soul, creativity, or love put into something; the essence of yourself that is put into your work.

because I’m blogging.

Hello there!

Shripa here.

See what I did there.

I’m already ruining this.

I’m your cherry, dorky teenage neighbor standing short, proving all the teen stereotypes true (minus the horrible grammar). With the writing experience of a year in the popular virtual online library, I have decided to join here. The reason is because Wattpad has always been this sacred place for my fictional creative juices to flow, and I wanted some other sacred separate place for my nerdy and kind of crazy social justice warrior version of myself with social and political ideologies juices to flow.

So, if you’re looking for a social-changer-wannabe-teenager with some thought provoking stuffs and some personal and emotional things for a change here and there, get yourself a cookie because you’re in the right place.

What the hell am I even talking about?

I started really being socially conscious and feeling okay about having opinions about things that are happening in our society since the junior year of my high school. Participating in debates has a lot to contribute in this whole new side of me that I discovered. And I had these crazy points of view towards things that suddenly mattered to me and were interesting to me, and already being in the writing community prompted me to join the blogging world!

It’s also because I just graduated from high school and I love watching Ted Talks and talk shows.

So, I started writing about stuffs that interested me and sparked some kind of spell that made me itch from within that could only be subsided when I typed about it. For months, the writings just sat in my laptop sipping their favorite Starbucks or Himalayan Java (It’s a coffee place in my country. We don’t have Starbucks here). And this thought popped up in my head, “Why are you wasting these writings?”

And I was!

I was wasting the writings and my opinions by limiting them to my word documents in my folder in my desktop; I wanted them to be out. I wanted to be heard. What better place than blog? What better place to start a blog than WordPress?

So, here I am. Starting my first blogging site and excited about where this journey would take me. And I really do hope it’ll take me somewhere better.
